From Jurassic Coasts to Legendary Lands

On this 3-day tour, you'll delve into England's deep past, from the prehistoric Jurassic Coast and mystical Dartmoor, to the legendary Tintagel, culminating in the ancient marvels of Glastonbury, Stonehenge, and Salisbury Cathedral, before returning to Bournemouth.

Day 1: Bournemouth to Exeter via the Jurassic Coast

Morning: Depart from Bournemouth and head towards the Jurassic Coast. First stop, Durlston Park overlooking Old Harry Roacks.
Midday: Visit Durdle Door, Lulworth Cove and Corfe Castle, just in time for a cuppa and cake!
Afternoon: Continue to Weymouth (Lunch), a beautiful coastal town with regency history, for a brief stop and a stroll along the promenade.

Overnight Stay: Exeter

Evening: Arrive in Exeter. Check into your hotel and enjoy dinner at one of Exeter’s charming eateries.

Day 2: Dartmoor, Tintagel, and Port Isaac

Morning: Early departure from Exeter to explore Dartmoor National Park. Visit highlights like Haytor Rocks and the ancient clapper bridge at Postbridge.
Midday: Drive to Tintagel to visit the legendary birthplace of King Arthur and explore Tintagel Castle (lunch in Tintagel).
Afternoon: Visit Port Isaac, the picturesque fishing village famously used as the setting for the TV series “Doc Martin.”
Late Afternoon: Return to Exeter for dinner and your second night’s stay.

Day 3: Glastonbury, Stonehenge, and Salisbury Cathedral, back to Bournemouth

Morning: Depart Exeter for Glastonbury. Visit the Glastonbury Tor and Abbey, exploring the myths and legends of King Arthur.
Midday: Lunch in Glastonbury, followed by a drive to Stonehenge. Spend early afternoon exploring the iconic stone circle and its visitor center.
Afternoon: Continue to Salisbury to visit the magnificent Salisbury Cathedral, home to an original copy of the Magna Carta.
Evening: Return to Bournemouth, concluding a memorable journey through some of the most iconic and beautiful landscapes and historical sites in England.

40-minute scenic drive to Durlston Park

Known for its wildlife and the gateway to the Jurassic Coast, here you can view the Great Globe and Old Harry Rocks!

Durdle Door

Selfie Alert! See the best preserved limestone archway in the world!
Get those selfie sticks out as we reach one of the most well known sights on the Jurassic Coast! Durdle Door is a natural arch cut into the Portland Stone (Limestone). The rocks that the arch is made up of is thought to be approximately 140 million years old!

Lulworth Cove

We then head down to Lulworth Cove and see the famous Lulworth Crumple rock formation in Stair Hole. Lulworth Cove formed over 1000’s of years to form a perfect horse shoe shape into the hill side. Perfect for the photographer in you!

35-minute scenic drive through Dorset countryside

Weymouth

Time for some fish & chips, a pint of ale and some ice cream? We visit Weymouth and its 2 mile long sandy beach where you can stroll down the Victorian esplanade! We then head to the ‘Isle’ of Portland, with its 18 miles of Chesil beach and the southernmost tip of the Jurassic Coast.

Visit the Olympic Rings on the Isle of Portland overlooking 18 miles of Chesil Beach!

Portland Bill

We visit the southernmost tip of the Jurassic Coast - Portland Bill Lighthouse!

35-minute scenic drive through Dorset countryside

St Catherine’s Chapel

We stop high on Abbotsbury hilltop that sits St Catherine’s Chapel, a barrel-vaulted 14th century chapel built by the monks of Abbotsbury Abbey as a place of pilgrimage and retreat. We take in the fantastic views of the abbey ruins and the 18 mile look back over Chesil Beach and the Fleet.

West Bay (Broadchurch)

Finally we visit the famous town where Broadchurch was filmed! The golden strata of nearby East Cliff are one of the most distinctive features of the Jurassic Coast. If you’re a fan of the Broadchurch crime drama, you’ll know this is where “Danny” fell to his death!

Dartmoor National Park

Early departure from Exeter to explore Dartmoor National Park. Visit highlights like Haytor Rocks and the ancient clapper bridge at Postbridge.

Stonehenge

Step into one of the world’s greatest prehistoric mysteries at Stonehenge. Dating back over 4,500 years, this UNESCO World Heritage Site continues to fascinate visitors with its massive standing stones, astronomical alignments, and unanswered questions about how and why it was built.

Salisbury Cathedral

Marvel at the breathtaking Salisbury Cathedral, completed in 1258 and home to the tallest church spire in Britain. Inside, discover beautiful medieval architecture and view one of the original copies of the Magna Carta, a foundation of modern democracy.

Do you have minimum group numbers?

Like many small tour companies, we do require a minimum number of passengers to run any of our tours.

If the number of passengers is not met you will be notified around 72 hours before your tour departure and offered an alternative date. *Subject to availability.

If we need to cancel your tour due to insufficient numbers, you will be refunded in full.

Our tours are guided, with time to explore independently. At each stop, your guide will provide an engaging introduction to the location, including its history, geology, and key points of interest, helping you make the most of your visit.

You will then have free time to explore at your own pace before we continue to the next stop on the itinerary.
