PAYMENTS
Full payment or a deposit is required for all day excursions/tours/day tours at the time of booking. A confirmation will be forwarded by email confirming the full amount paid, booking number and tour information.
METHOD OF PAYMENT
Payment may be made to Dorset Tours by Debit or Credit Card through our secure booking system. Bookings are made via Stripe or our website. Stripe are responsible for taking payments and securing bookings. Please see their information here: – https://stripe.com/gb.
ALTERATIONS
Dorset Tours will do everything reasonably possible to provide your tour itinerary as planned.
Dorset Tours reserves the right to alter or cancel tour itineraries due to weather, availability of attractions or other circumstances. The Guide reserves the right to change the size and type of vehicle operating on our tours.
MINIMUM NUMBER VIABILITY
Dorset Tours does operate a minimum number policy. Dorset Tours needs a minimum number of passengers to operate any tour. The minimum is variable in relation to a specific tour or discounts given to operate a specific tour. Dorset Tours reserve the right to cancel a tour at any time if the minimum number is not reached. If we need to cancel your tour due to insufficient numbers, you will be refunded in full.
ONE DAY TOURS / DAY TRIPS / CRUISE SHIP SHORE EXCURSIONS
Cancel more than 7 days before the tour: Full refund*
Cancel 3-6 days before the tour: 50% refund.
Cancel less than 3 days before the tour: No refund.
No show, cancellation on the day or after the tour has started: No refund.
Cancellation due to Medical Issues:
In the event of a cancellation due to last-minute medical issues, our standard cancellation policy will still apply. We highly recommend that all travelers secure comprehensive travel insurance that covers such unforeseen circumstances, ensuring that any financial losses due to last-minute medical cancellations are recoverable through your insurance provider. This policy is in place to maintain fairness and manage the limited availability of our tours efficiently.
*An international reversal transaction cost can be incurred by third party booking software or your bank or credit card company. International reversal transaction costs can be up to 15%. International reversal transaction costs are out of our control.
Cruise Ship Fails to Dock
We strongly advise obtaining comprehensive travel insurance for your journey. It offers invaluable peace of mind, providing coverage for unexpected instances such as missed ports or tour cancellations.
If unforeseen circumstances, like your ship not docking, disrupt your plans, don’t worry. In such events, we ensure 50% of your payment is returned to you. This approach aims to mitigate your disappointment, while reasonably covering the preparatory costs of your tour, like hired guides, insurance, equipment and vehicle reservations.

Flight Delays and Cancellations
In the event of a cancellation due to last-minute flight delays or flight cancellations, our standard cancellation policy will still apply. Please note that Dorset Tours is not responsible for any inconveniences or costs incurred due to missed flights or flight cancellations. We strongly recommend that all travelers obtain comprehensive travel insurance to cover such eventualities. This insurance should assist in managing any disruptions to your travel plans, including coverage for any non-refundable tour costs. Ensure your travel insurance policy covers all necessary aspects of your trip to provide peace of mind while you enjoy your travels with us.
